As you already know Subaru and Toyota have joined forces to build a new sports car together. The new sports car will be launched in 2010 and will be priced at around £10,000 in Japan, but it’s likely to be closer to £20k in the UK, rising to £25k for the turbo model.
There will be two different versions: one for Toyota and one for Subaru of course, with different design, but both will be powered by a Subaru 2.0-litre flat four engine, making this the first time that a Subaru boxer engine has powered a Toyota.

The entry level will have an output of 175 hp, but a turbocharged version will also be released and will be powered by a 2.5-litre engine.
The coupe will be inspired by the the classic rear-drive AE86 Toyota Corolla GT coupé from the 1980s.
